ON-CAMPUS SCHOOL:
Most Village students are significantly behind grade level in their education. In addition, learning disabilities pose challenges in their ability to achieve educational goals. Teachers and Direct Care staff work as a team with residential program therapists to provide coordinated educational support. The school program is BESE Board approved for grades 6th through 12th including Special Ed. A full time tutor oversees a computer lab which provides residents with additional assistance.
RECREATION:
Recreating is part of a client’s daily routine. These activities promote physical and emotional growth. During the activities, youth are encouraged to help others by supporting positive behaviors and to exhibit good sportsmanship conduct with their peers. On-campus recreational activities include activities in our 8,000 square foot gymnasium, baseball field, running track, tennis and volleyball courts, and swimming pool. Off campus recreation includes skating, putt-putt, bowling and movie passes.
